A couple of weeks ago, we all headed up to Sutro Heights Park to take some photos for this year's Christmas card. My absolute favorite park in San Francisco, once the estate of Adolph Sutro, this amazing little park sits atop a cliff overlooking the Cliff House, Ocean Beach and San Mateo county beyond. The view from the park is so breathtaking that you often feel it's a wasted opportunity not to include it in a photograph. Regardless, here are Max and Kaia, my own little ones, taking a stroll in the evening light (minus the ocean view!) While my wife and I loved these two photographs, we ended up using a totally different one for the Christmas card. Funny how that works...!
Here's just a couple of images from a recent shoot - this little lady had such striking eyes, and a personality to match. She was such a fun subject, and didn't tire in the slightest during our 2 hour shoot. In close-ups like these, if you can catch the light in the eyes you're onto a winner. With Talia here, I really couldn't miss!
We took Maxie and Kaia to the Conservatory of Flowers recently for a picnic, and I took these photographs of them playing among the flowerbeds. The light was really nice - it was one of those San Francisco days where the sun is just barely contained by the fog (not the early morning fog, but the late afternoon high-level Richmond stuff we see in August).
